  • SENIOR EXCEPTION: The age for the Senior Exception has now dropped to 50. All players 50 and above scheduled to play a tee box greater than 6500 yards may move up one tee if they so choose, with strokes adjusted accordingly. The minimum yardage allowed when utilizing the Senior Exception is 5900 yards. Players utilizing the Senior Exception will be eligible for all payouts, however will not be eligible to win Championships.
  • SUPER SENIOR EXCEPTION: The Super Senior Exception will remain at 66 years old, allowing players scheduled to play a tee greater than 5900 yards the choice to move up one tee if they so choose, with strokes adjusted accordingly. The minimum yardage allowed when utilizing the Senior Exception is 5500 yards. Players utilizing the Senior Exception will be eligible for all payouts, however will not be eligible to win Championships.
  • PAYOUT EXPIRATION: Payouts will now be valid through the end of the calendar year in which each season ends. (Ie. Winnings from Series that run from March through October (Portland, Seattle, Bend, Bay Area and SoCal) are valid through December 31st of the year in which the series ended. Winnings from wraparound series (Phoenix and Winter Series) that run from September through May are valid through December 31st of the year the series ends.
  • NEW PAYOUT SYSTEM: Payouts are now distributed as “Shop Credit” via our online shop and are now connected to your account, making them easier to use than ever before. To access your winnings, simply create a login at shopgolfguys.com using the same email address that you registered for the event in which you won prize money and click MY ACCOUNT. To use your winnings, add an item to the cart and check the “Use my Tournament Winnings” box at checkout. No more codes needed!
  • MONTHLY HANDICAP REVIEW: The USGA now offers a Handicap Review Tool in GHIN, that allows us to audit players’ scores over the last 12 months to determine if each player’s index is accurate. Starting on April 1st, we will be running a monthly review and accept every adjustment that the tool recommends. This tool will offer both positive and negative adjustments, typically equal to no more than a 3 stroke adjustment either way.
